YoKid 20-hour Basic Training — THIS Weekend @ GWU

Ever thought about learning to teach kids yoga? Or expanding your toolbox of asanas, games, activities, and ways to teach philosophy, if you already teach kids? YoKid is super excited to return to George Washington University with our 20-hour Basic Training THIS WEEKEND!

The aim of the YoKid 20-hour Basic Training is to give you the tools you need to effectively teach yoga and meditation to school-aged children.  Our practical and informative training will provide you with what you need to teach traditional and non-traditional poses and teach you age appropriate language and methods for creating a fun, yet calming environment for kids.  You will also learn effective methods of classroom management and stages of child development in order to modify, differentiate, and make your instruction appropriate for all children.

You can sign up for one or all of the three courses offered throughout the weekend (in order to teach for YoKid, you need to take a minimum of the Philosophy for Kids AND either the K-5th or 6th-12th courses):

Friday, 1/11/13, 5-9pm: Philosophy for Kids

Saturday, 1/12/13, 9am-5pm: Teaching Yoga to K-5th Graders

Sunday, 1/13/13, 9am-3pm: Teaching Yoga to 6th-12th Graders
