YoKid: Theory of Change Process

As of February 12, 2016 YoKid has completed our first “Theory of Change” process!  Guided by our Capacity Building Specialist through a grant with Fair Chance we (staff, YoKid teachers, volunteers, board members)  spent several months examining our organization and very specifically our yoga classes for children and youth.

Now that we ALL have a clearer understanding of what it is that YoKid’s classes for children and youth “do,”  YoKid staff and board members will be asking for community participation moving forward while we internally update organization policies/processes to support this theory of change.

Completing this Theory of Change process was long, hard, AND incredibly EXCITING.  The process highlights the BEGINNING of the changes within our organization and many ways for YOU to get involved.  Community participation includes volunteering as a teacher or assistant, interning, donating, sponsorship, board member, hosting an event/teacher training, or office volunteer.
