Staff Development Workshops
YoKid Three-Hour Staff Development Workshop
The three-hour training includes a brief overview of yoga philosophy, yoga teaching methods for the public school setting, overview of the developmental characteristics of the respective age group, an outline of specific yoga postures (including meditation/relaxation) to use in your setting, and how to teach the postures (including meditation/relaxation).
One-Hour YoKid Staff Development Workshop
The 1-hour training for the faculty & staff of one school. The training is specific to the strengths/weaknesses of your schools and will give staff tools to address your schools current needs/support the focus for the upcoming school year. Participants will learn how yoga philosophy supports the work they will be doing this upcoming school year, a brief review of developmental characteristics, and quick/simple/age appropriate yoga techniques that can be used in the classroom.
