YoKid Yoga Teacher Training

The aim of the YoKid Teacher Training is to give adults the tools they need to effectively teach yoga and meditation to school-aged children. Our practical and informative training will provide you with what you need to teach traditional and non-traditional poses and teach you age appropriate language and methods for creating a fun, yet calming environment for kids. You will also learn effective methods of classroom management and stages of child development in order to modify, differentiate, and make your instruction appropriate for all children.
The 20-hour training includes yoga philosophy and the Yoga Sutras as they pertain to children, asana for the elementary, middle, and high school student, traditional hatha poses, the ashtanga primary series, yoga games, yoga stories, partner poses, and journaling.
The YoKid basic 20-hour Teacher Training can be taken in its entirety or as individual workshop components of your choice:

July 23, 2011: Beloved Yoga Studio, Great Falls, VA, 12:30 PM – 6:30 PM
August 26 & 27, 2011: Baltimore Yoga Village, Mt. Washington, MD, 4:30 PM – 8:30 PM on Friday, August 26th AND 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM on Saturday, August 27th
*6th-12th: Developmental Stages, Behavior Mangement, Teaching Strategies & Methodology - $190 (9 hours) – click for registration
July 24, 2011: Beloved Yoga Studio, Great Falls, VA, 12:30 PM – 7:00 PM
August 27 & 28, 2011: Baltimore Yoga Village, Mt. Washington, MD, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Saturday, August 27th AND 12:30 PM – 6:00 PM on Sunday, August 28th
All 3 trainings can be used to fulfill a 20 hour module requirement in the Radiant Child Family Yoga Certification courses
Total cost is $400 when registering for all 3 YoKid courses in the 20 hour basic training
