“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity. It turns problems into gifts, failures into success, the unexpected into perfect timing, and mistakes into important events. Gratitude makes sense of your past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.” – Melody Beattie

A few of us at YoKid wanted to share some of the things we feel grateful

for around this time of Thanksgiving…

Kendra: I’m thankful for amazing friends, the health of family and loved ones, and the opportunity to inspire others to audaciously use their talents, live their passions, and radiate their divine light in its fullness.

Michelle: Perfectly imperfect relationships with my husband and kids; the lessons they teach me on a daily basis are numerous. The opportunity to work passionately for a cause I believe in, making “work” feel like a natural part of my daily life/being. The knowledge that mindfulness exists and the ability to be able to TRY to practice it each day.

AnneMy dog, the Mighty Tucker, who greets me with enthusiasm every time I walk in and keeps my toes warm on chilly nights. New places to explore, like New York City, and the crazy adventure that my life has been. My son, Austin, who is a complete delight.  His curiosity, intellect, sense of adventure and warmth surprise me every day and make me see the world in new ways. And, Warm socks!

Ellie: My kids, husband, parents, brother, and all of my friends and loved ones. The opportunity to teach yoga and continue my work with YoKid. And, of course, my personal yoga and meditation practices – which enable me to connect to and live from a place of authenticity and openness in mind and heart.

And, all of us are grateful for YOU – our supporters, friends, students, and teachers – and all that you allow us to do in our efforts to bring mindfulness, peace of heart, and health to as many kids as we possibly can!
