General Summary:

Marketing Internship

The intern will work directly with the executive director to develop and implement a marketing campaign that will increase the number of annual donors and generate interest in the upcoming National Kids Yoga Conference. Using existing marketing tools (promo video, brochures, DVD, pictures, online media) and current community networks the intern will establish and implement a well rounded, targeted campaign plan with realistic and achievable goals.
The intern will assist with maintaining YoKid’s online and local community presence through the daily use of social media and community networking and will assist with mass email development and messaging.

Internship responsibilities include:

Creating and implementing an achievable well-organized plan, drafting templates, making appropriate community connections, and use of social media.

Work Environment:

The intern will work from YoKid’s Alexandria office on Tuesdays & Wednesdays. Travel to and from community meetings may be needed (mileage/parking will be reimbursed)

Qualifications:

~Proficient in MS Word, Excel, use of online social media, and web-based communication
~Personal laptop (mac preferred)
~Professional, friendly, proactive, and responsible

~Interest in youth development and yoga helpful but not required

Commitment:

~15 hours per week Immediately-May 2014, optional extension
